The advantage of using Nero BackItUp to make a local copy backup operation is that it allows you to back up your vital files and data to a local storage device such as an external hard drive or USB. This ensures that you have a safe and easy-to-access duplicate of your important files in the event of a system breakdown or other unforeseen occurrence. You can also plan automatic backups with Nero BackItUp, which adds convenience and peace of mind.

Open Nero BackItUp

Selecting Nero BackItUp from the Nero Start menu will launch it.

Start Backup

After successfully launching Nero BackItUp, click "Back Up Now" to continue.

Select a Backup Task

Then we might select a backup task first, then click "local copy," then next.

Select What to Backup

Then we could back up anything we wanted. To choose which folders to back up, we can choose "Customize Selection" or select the automatically detected folders.

We add a sample of data(D) folder to show the backup.

Select a Backup Target

Next, we choose one of our local drives as a backup target.

Select Backup Options

We could then choose backup choices. If necessary, you can establish a backup plan, such as manually, monthly, weekly, or daily.

Back Up is Done!

When you use the "back up now" button, your backup process is completed. The backup is complete in less than 5 seconds.

Setting a local copy in Nero BackItUp is quite powerful.
