Open Nero BackItUp
Launch Nero BackItUp from the Nero Start menu.

Start to Back Up
When Nero BackItUp is launched, click "Back Up Now" to get started.

Select a Backup Task
Select "Local Copy" and click "Next".

Step 1 - Select What to Back Up
Select what you want to back up, such as "customize selection" to locate your target folder, and then click "Next".

Step 3 - Select Backup Options
Then, select "USB plug in" to connect your external source as the task schedule, and click "Back Up Now".

Check Backup
Your external backup will be completed quickly. Check on the final backup.
Nero BackItUp also detects changes to the backup source. Directly click the yellow button till it turns green.

Auto Backup
When you insert an external disc, the backup operation starts automatically.
