Nero Recode's AVCHD Blu-ray ripping has many uses:
1. Backing up: A backup copy of your AVCHD Blu-ray disc can be useful if the original is damaged or lost. You can back up your CD by ripping it to your hard drive or another storage device.
2. Convenience: Certain devices can't play AVCHD Blu-ray discs, especially those without Blu-ray drives. Ripping the DVD with Nero Recode can help you play the files on additional devices.
3. Editing: Ripping your AVCHD Blu-ray disc's video data to your hard disk is a critical initial step for editing. Nero Recode extracts video files off the disc and converts them into a format that works better with video editing tools.
4. Sharing: Ripping AVCHD Blu-rays makes it easier to exchange content. Sharing files via email, social media, or other online platforms is possible after converting them.
Nero Recode can make dealing with and consuming AVCHD Blu-ray content easier, more accessible, and more flexible.
Choose "Nero Recode" from the Nero menu and run it. Check again that the DVD has been inserted into the player and then continue.
Let's move forward by selecting "Import Blu-ray/AVCHD" when we reach the Nero Recode screen.
Make sure that the output format is set to MKV for this video, as is the case with the default settings. When all the defaults make sense to you, you can go ahead and press the OK button.
Click the "Start encoding" button to begin encoding. Let us now wait till the green bar indicates that the process is finished. Encoding will take less than a minute.
Congrats on completing a successful project with Nero Recode. In the future, you may be able to back up and rip from higher-definition AVCHD/Blu-ray video.
