Video discs, such as DVDs or Blu-rays, may not be compatible with all devices or players. We can convert the video disc to a format that our desired playing device supports by recoding it with Nero Recode.

Large files on video discs can take up a lot of storage space. Nero Recode allows us to compress the files, lowering their size without sacrificing quality. This is especially beneficial for saving videos on portable devices or broadcasting them over the internet.

Nero Recode allows you to modify the video output by selecting specific chapters, audio tracks, or subtitles. This allows us to customize our viewing experience and remove undesired aspects from the original video disc.

Overall, recoding video discs with Nero Recode provides additional flexibility, interoperability, and customization possibilities for home entertainment.

Open Nero Recode

Open Nero Recode from the Nero Start menu.

Import DVD

When Nero Recode is launched, simply click the "Import DVD" tab to begin.

Output Settings

Choose one of the products on this list as your home entertainment device. As an example, we choose the "Sony Playstation 4" and the video content. Then select OK.

Recode Video is Done!

Click "Start encoding" and wait for the procedure to finish.

The DVD video is quickly recoded for home enjoyment. Very handy for our spare time.
