Blu-Ray is a popular way to store and play high-definition video on optical discs, so you may need to export AVCHD video files as Blu-Ray compatible files.

Compared to standard definition DVDs, it has better video and audio quality. When you export an AVCHD video file in a format that Blu-Ray players can read, the video can be played on most Blu-Ray players and the quality of the video is kept.

Also, exporting in a Blu-Ray format makes sure that the video can be edited and played back with software that supports the Blu-Ray disc format.

Let's use Nero Video to export a video file that works with AVCHD Blu-Ray. Now try it!

Open Nero Video

First things first, let's find the desktop Nero Start and then locate Nero Video so we can launch it.

Create Video Project

The "Make Advanced Video" option can be found in the middle of the list, and you can get to the dashboard from there.

Export Video

You are able to export the video by dragging it onto the timeline, and then clicking the "Export" button after it is in place.

Choose Format

When you click the "export" button, the Export Video page will come up. On this page, Keep the default settings on this page as "export video to file," and then you'll be asked to choose the format for the file. There are a lot of formats on the list. We chose "AVCHD/Blu-ray" as the format for the audio we outputted for this video.

It was very easy to get the format we needed. Let's open Nero Video together so we can make a quick edit.
