Detecting and managing duplicate and similar RAW pictures is helpful because:
1. Saves Storage Space: RAW photographs are huge, and duplicates take up valuable space. Removing them makes more room available.
2. Keeps Photos Organized: Duplicates clutter up your photo collection, making it difficult to discover specific photographs. Eliminating them keeps your collection neat.
3. Eases Backup Process: Duplicates increase backup size, making them slower and more difficult to manage. Duplicates are removed, allowing backups to run faster and saving storage space.
4. Increases Performance: By processing fewer files, photo software operates faster. Getting rid of duplicates boosts performance.
5. Ensures Quality: Recognizing similar photos allows you to keep the finest ones while discarding lower-quality duplicates.
Let's use Nero DuplicateManager step by step. It automates this procedure, saving you time and effort.
Open Nero DuplicateManager
Launch Nero DuplicateManager Photo from Nero Start. You can open it directly by clicking the "open" button.
Select Folder
After using Nero DuplicateManager, we can simply drag and drop folders onto the dashboard.
After you click "Next," all of the images in this folder will be instantly scanned.
Check Duplicates
Check for duplicate photographs in the preview window, then mark the undesired ones by clicking on them, which will display a trash can. If you make the wrong decision, you can still reconsider by clicking on the image again.
In addition, two tabs will appear at the top: "duplicate images" and "similar images."
Check Detail
We choose the "similar images" button, and we can see more details for each image before deciding which one to upload to the collection.
Remove
If there are multiple images that are similar, mark them in red and click the Next button to delete them.
Remove Duplicate Images is Done!
After you've marked all of the duplicate images, click Next to proceed.
Then you'll notice how much space is released when you eliminate duplicate images.
