Modern tutorial videos need more than a simple screen capture. Create more engaging training videos, product demos, and tutorials with Nero Screen Recorder.
Zoom effects help your audience focus on key moments, highlight important clicks, and dramatically improve viewer engagement—especially for software walkthroughs, online lessons, internal training materials, customer support videos, and step-by-step product demonstrations.
With Nero Screen Recorder, you can easily record your screen and enhance it using automatic or manual zoom effects, making your content clearer, more professional, and more enjoyable to watch.
Launch Nero Screen Recorder and click the capture icon to begin setting up your recording.

Adjust the dotted border so it perfectly fits your target window.
Then click the round Record button on the bottom toolbar to start capturing.

When you’re finished, press the red Stop button on the control bar.
Your recording will automatically open in the editor.

Inside the editor, look to the right-hand panel and click the yellow Zoom button.
This brings you into the zoom-editing workspace.

With Auto Mode selected, play your video.
You’ll see purple zoom segments appear on the timeline—these are automatically detected based on your mouse interactions, helping viewers stay focused during important actions.

Want to emphasize a specific step?
Move the playhead to the right moment and click the + above the timeline to insert a new auto zoom block exactly where you need it.

For fully customized zooms, switch to the Manual tab.
Drag the focus box onto the part of the screen you want to highlight and adjust the Zoom Level slider to control magnification.
This is ideal for product UI details, small buttons, or technical workflows.

Once you’re satisfied with your zoom edits, click the yellow Export button.
This opens the export settings window.

Choose your output folder, confirm video/audio settings, then click Export again.
Play the final version to ensure your zoom effects appear exactly the way you intended.
